Both women passed away in tragic circumstances, popularizing the myth that the Ebon Hawk was an unlucky ship. Two of the ship's following owners, Forri Haxa and Ahita Othar, were affiliated with the Exchange, a criminal organization that dealt with spice refinement and smuggling, weapon trafficking, slave trading and bounty hunting. A man named Ratrin Vhek from Knights of The Old Republic II claimed to have owned the ship during the Mandalorian Wars and alleged that it was stolen right before the Battle of Malachor V, the war's final battle. The Ebon Hawk was constructed on the Republic world of Transel, which manufactured many Dynamic-class freighters for the Republic.
